The Association for Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT) was established in 1993 by a group of counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists who were training as Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) practitioners in the United Kingdom. The Association promotes research and education in psychotherapy and promotes (or assists in the promotion, preservation and protection of public healthy by encouraging) high standards of training and practice in psychotherapy alongside and holds it's own set of standards and ethics.

The UK Register for CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) comprise the joint memberships of the AREBT and the BABCP. The UKCBT was established to provide the public, healthcare professionals healthcare providers with easy on-line access to the definitive and complete listing of more than 1,400 accredited CBT therapists working within private practice, the NHS, or both, in the UK, and an overall membership in excess of 7,000.

The British Association of Behaviour and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) is a multi-disciplinary interest group for people involved in the practice and theory of behaviour and cognitive psychotherapy.”

British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) …’is the largest and broadest body within the sector. Through it’s work, BACP ensures that it meets it’s remit of public protection whilst also developing and informing it’s members. It’s work with large and small organizations within the sector ranges from advising schools on how to set up a counselling service, assisting the NHS on service provision, working with voluntary agencies and supporting independent practitioners. BACP participates in the development of counselling and psychotherapy at an international level.”

Thanet College. “Thanet College is a local provider of training and further education and offer a range of full, part-time, distance learning and community based courses, as well as being experienced corporate trainers." A range of Counselling courses from beginners to qualification level is available at the college including Noreen's personally designed Level 2 Bereavement and CBT Certificates plus workshops. These courses may also be available locally.
